Community Programming Facilitated by MBT
Drawing upon nearly three decades of financial services experience, including 13 years as a senior trader at Fidelity Investments, David Donovan is executive vice president at Publicis Sapient, where he helps banks develop efficient operating platforms by implementing digital transformation initiatives. David Donovan provides financial support to Boston-area academic institutions and nonprofits, including Girls, Inc., and My Brother's Table (MBT).
Launched in 1982, MBT has served nearly 5 million hot meals to those in need. The North Shore's largest soup kitchen operates 365 days a year and facilitates a variety of programs to address the needs of some of the most vulnerable people in the region.
Joe's Meals is a dinner shuttle service that delivers frozen and easy-to-prepare meals as well as food staples to people who are critically ill and homebound. Senior Meals is another outreach program that provides food once per month to the Lynn Council on Aging's Greater Lynn Senior Services' Community Cafe. The nonprofit also provides meals to patients at the Lynn Recuperative Care Center, new American families taking part in citizenship education, and people held in the Lynn Police Department lock-up.
In addition to its meal programming, MBT operates a free health clinic in partnership with the Lynn Community Health Center. It also has an art therapy program.
